Gender and Development Professional, Nepal



Amuda Mishra is the founder and executive director of The Ujyalo Foundation, a feminist organization working on women’s leadership and empowerment. Leading parallel careers as a director, researcher, and a life/soft skills trainer, Amuda has worked on projects promoting sustainable development, gender-inclusive leadership, and community empowerment in Nepal since 2013. Amuda initiated groundbreaking innovations like EmpowHER, an idea incubation and leadership program for young women in Nepal, and NiDARR, a smartphone application to report gender-based violence. Amuda holds a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Colorado-Denver. Amuda was also one of the Clinton Global Initiative University commitment makers in 2013, and was listed as one of the WOW 2016 Women to Watch.
