Social Impact Entrepreneur, Korea



Originally from South Hwanghae in North Korea, Daehyeon Park is the founder and CEO of Woorion, an NGO and social network that connects North Korean refugees living in South Korea to educational opportunities, scholarships, job openings, housing, social services and support, and other important resources on resettlement and life in South Korea. Daehyeon is passionate about helping North Korean refugees and plans to start a microfinance initiative to help North Korean businesspeople. He aspires to establish a bank for the reconstruction of North Korea to achieve a unified Korean Peninsula. Born in North Korea, Daehyeon brings a unique perspective to his ambitions to help North Korean refugees. He lived in England during his teenage years and currently studies Business Administration at Kookmin University in Seoul.
