Since 1979, The Asia Foundation has partnered with leaders and communities in China to support development and foster aspirations for a better future. Today, our work in China remains as relevant as ever with initiatives around development of the charitable sector, disaster management, empowerment of women, child welfare, and constructive U.S.-China relations. With the rise of China’s global influence and impact on Asia regional development, the Foundation also continues to build on decades of programming and expertise to support Chinese international development efforts that are sustainable, informed by international practices, and responsive to local needs.
