Empower Women and Girls

Unurjargal saw an opportunity and seized it. After Mongolia’s transition to democracy, all government-run domestic soap factories closed down and most soap was imported. Unurjargal dreamt of filling the domestic market with her own local, chemical-free line of products.

The Asia Foundation’s Women’s Business Center empowered her to write a business plan, develop a market, incubate, and launch her start up. Thanks to her new-found life as an entrepreneur, her family now has economic stability and plans for the future.
