Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Speaks at World Affairs Council

This week, The Asia Foundation welcomes Chang-Lin Tien Distinguished Visiting Fellow Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, founder of BRAC, the largest development organization in the world dedicated to alleviating poverty by empowering the poor to bring about change in their own lives. The work of BRAC reaches an estimated 126 million people in 11 countries. On September 1, Sir Fazle spoke at the World Affairs Council in San Francisco on poverty alleviation in Bangladesh and lessons for the developing world. Watch video.
