Former Program Manager, Digital Programs, Cambodia

Darathtey formerly served as program manager for the Foundation’s digital programs including: the Women in Tek Network, Go Digital ASEAN Cambodia, and Accelerate Small and Micro Businesses. She also worked with the country representative in overseeing communications for The Asia Foundation in Cambodia. Prior to joining the Foundation, Darathtey was an independent communications and research consultant working for organizations such as C4ADS, NYU Abu Dhabi and Cambodian Living Arts.

Before that, she worked in several positions including as the political and public diplomacy officer at British Embassy Phnom Penh, communications officer at UNICEF Cambodia, communications coordinator at Cambodian Living Arts, and more. Beyond her professional sphere, Darathtey was an author in Cambodia 2040 publication by Future Forum authoring the chapter “Cambodian Identity, Culture and Legacy.” She is also a founder and writer of Campuccino, a fortnightly-published newsletter on all things Cambodia from politics to economics to arts and culture.

Education: Master’s degree in Global Media and Communication from University of Warwick, United Kingdom; bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Pannasastra University of Cambodia; and bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from Royal University of Law and Economics, Cambodia.
