Debby Carter has been a supporter of the Lotus Circle and its goals since its inception. Debby is a published illustrator of a number of children’s books. She lived in Beijing and Hong Kong for many years in the early 1980s, and traveled in Myanmar (then Burma), Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Japan, the Philippines and China. While living in Hong Kong she worked with World Wildlife Fund in their efforts to protect endangered species in Asia. She was also a volunteer teacher with children in two Vietnamese open refugee camps. In 2012 Debby taught art classes during a month in Phnom Penh with Cambodian Children’s Fund’s schools. She remains active in support of CCF. Debby has since traveled to Mongolia, Bhutan and Japan.
