Erica Kesel left the Foundation in May 2017.

Kesel was formerly The Asia Foundation’s director of Resource Development, where she worked with members of the President’s Leadership Council and the Legacy Giving Society as well as other individuals committed to the mission, vision, and financial well-being of the Foundation.

Before joining The Asia Foundation, Erica was Assistant Director of Development at San Francisco Zen Center, where she led a comprehensive annual fundraising program and capital campaign. Earlier in her career, she worked for five years at the Asian Art Museum, and during that time successfully launched a program to identify and develop the museum’s next generation of philanthropic leaders. She also worked in the development departments at KQED Public Broadcasting and San Francisco Performances.

Education: Erica Kesel studied philosophy, receiving a bachelor’s degree from Boston University.
