Advisory Partner, Greylock Partners



Howard Cox joined Greylock in 1971 after serving two years in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Cox has served as director of Greylock and the Boston Globe (Affiliated Publications), Secretary of Defense Business Board, and Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association. He is currently on the board of Stryker, In Q-Tel, the Brookings Institution, the Forum of Young Global Leaders, and the Population Council. He serves as advisory trustee for various Fidelity Mutual Funds, investment committees of Museum of Fine Arts, the Brookings Institution, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Partners Healthcare, and the Kleberg Foundation. He also serves on several advisory boards at Princeton University, Harvard Business School, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard School of Public Health.

Cox received his BA from Princeton University, his JD from Columbia University, and his MBA from Harvard Business School. In 2003, he received the Harvard Business School Award for Alumni Achievement.
