Naran Munkhbat is deputy project manager for the Child Protection Compact (CPC) project. CPC is funded by the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons under the US State Department and is co-implemented by the Foundation and World Vision. The project aims to increase capacity and collaboration of the government, civil society, and private sector stakeholders to strengthen Mongolia’s efforts to effectively prosecute and convict child traffickers with a victim-centered approach, to provide comprehensive trauma-informed care for child victims of trafficking, and to prevent child trafficking in all its forms. In her capacity as deputy program manager, Naran is responsible for effective day-to-day implementation, liaises with national government and civil society partners and provides inputs in anti-trafficking initiatives of the Foundation.
Naran previously worked for the Foundation on anti-trafficking, anti-corruption, women’s empowerment programs and others for six years. She brings anti-trafficking work experience from Mongolia, Hong Kong and Thailand in trafficking victim protection. Naran also brings vast experience in project management including project design and implementation. She has knowledge in gender mainstreaming, monitoring and evaluation of project progress, conducting various research including needs assessment, and identification of project challenges and opportunities.
Prior to rejoining the Foundation, she served as monitoring, evaluation and learning specialist for Mongolia: Enhancing Resource Management through Institutional Transformation, implemented by Canadian Executive Service Organization and World University Services Canada.
Education: She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from University of Melbourne, a master’s degree in Gender Studies from the Central European University and a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the National University of Mongolia.
