An Economic Analysis of Solid Waste Management Outsourcing in Myanmar
While governments may bear ultimate responsibility for the provision of a service, the question arises whether government should directly provide that service, or whether it could be better provided and managed by private contractors, community groups or individuals. This is one of the most important policy decisions that municipalities must make. This paper seeks to support specific municipal decision-making on the provision of solid waste management in Myanmar.
