Across Asia, countries are shifting from a reliance on low-cost manufacturing to a focus on innovation and knowledge to drive their economies forward. By 2030, Asia will represent two-thirds of the global middle class and account for over 40 percent of global middle-class consumption.

The estimated GDP growth in developing Asia is projected to grow at 6.2 percent this year, according to the Asian Development Bank, solidifying the region’s position as the driver of global growth in what some call the “Asian Century.”
